Welcome to Cusco, the ancient capital of the Inca Empire and one of Peru’s most breathtaking destinations. Upon arrival, a private transfer from the airport will take you directly to your hotel in Cusco, where you can enjoy the comfort and warm Andean hospitality. You’ll be welcomed with a coca tea, a traditional Peruvian drink recommended to help you acclimate effectively to the altitude.

 We will assist you with the check-in process and provide detailed information about your tour program in Cusco, along with personalized recommendations to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. We recommend using this day to rest and gradually adapt to the altitude, allowing your body to adjust to the environment without rushing.

 OPTIONAL: Andean Dance and Music Show
To end your first day on a special note, we recommend attending a performance of traditional dances and music at the Qosqo Center of Native Art. This show will immerse you in Peruvian culture through music, dance, and traditional Andean costumes (from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.). The entrance is included in your package, but we recommend arriving at least 45 minutes early, as seating is limited and the venue tends to fill up quickly.

In the morning, enjoy a guided walking tour of Cusco, the historic capital of the Inca Empire and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit the magnificent Qorikancha (Temple of the Sun), the most important religious temple of the Incas, before stopping at the famous Twelve-Angled Stone, a masterpiece of Inca engineering. Continue through the charming Borreguitos Street and Sampateana, then climb to the San Cristóbal Viewpoint for breathtaking panoramic views of Cusco. The tour concludes at the iconic Plaza de Armas, the vibrant heart of the city.

In the afternoon, embark on a Cusco Archaeological Tour to explore four of the city's most remarkable Inca archaeological sites: Sacsayhuamán, Qenqo, Puka Pukara, and Tambomachay. Discover the fascinating history of the Inca civilization through its myths, religious beliefs, architectural achievements, and engineering techniques. Learn about the lives of the Inca rulers, the purpose of these impressive monuments, and how the Spanish conquest shaped the colonial city of Cusco.

  Then immerse yourself in local traditions during an authentic Andean pottery workshop. Learn ancient ceramic techniques from skilled local artisans and create your own handcrafted clay piece—a unique cultural experience that connects you with the artistic heritage of the Andes. Afterwards, Continue to Urubamba, the heart of the Sacred Valley, where you'll enjoy a delicious lunch featuring regional cuisine.

  In the afternoon, travel to the charming Inca town of Ollantaytambo, one of the best-preserved living Inca towns in Peru. Stroll through its original cobblestone streets before visiting the magnificent Ollantaytambo Archaeological Site, an important Inca fortress that served as a military, religious, and agricultural center. Admire its impressive stone terraces, temples, and panoramic views of the Sacred Valley.

End the day with an unforgettable stay in luxury domes (glamping) in the Sacred Valley, the perfect place to relax and reconnect with nature. From April to October, weather permitting, enjoy spectacular stargazing beneath the clear Andean sky, surrounded by breathtaking mountain landscapes. After breakfast, We  begin our journey to visit the Hummingbird Sanctuary, a unique destination dedicated to the conservation and observation of various species of hummingbirds. Enjoy the opportunity to admire these fascinating birds in their natural habitat while experiencing the peaceful beauty of the Andean environment.

Begin your Sacred Valley of the Incas Tour with a visit to Chinchero, a traditional Andean village renowned for its ancestral weaving techniques and cultural heritage. Local artisans will introduce you to the complete textile-making process, from spinning alpaca or sheep wool to natural dyeing methods using native plants and minerals. Continue to the Chinchero Archaeological Site, famous for its impressive Inca terraces and historical significance.

Continue your journey to Moray, an extraordinary Inca archaeological site featuring circular agricultural terraces believed to have been used as an ancient agricultural research center. Discover the ingenuity of Inca engineering while admiring this unique landscape.

Next, visit the spectacular Maras Salt Mines, a collection of more than 3,000 traditional salt ponds located on the mountainside. These salt terraces have been used since Inca times and continue to be managed by local communities using ancestral techniques.

In the afternoon, travel to the picturesque town of Ollantaytambo to board the scenic train to Machu Picchu, enjoying approximately a 2-hour journey through breathtaking Andean landscapes, mountains, and the Vilcanota River valley.

Upon arrival at Machu Picchu Pueblo (Aguas Calientes), transfer to your selected hotel.

Transfer to the bus station in Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Pueblo) to board the shuttle bus that will take you to the entrance of the Machu Picchu Citadel. The journey takes approximately 25 minutes, offering beautiful views of the surrounding cloud forest and Andean landscapes.

Enjoy your guided tour of Machu Picchu at your scheduled entrance time. Our expert Machu Picchu guide will be waiting to accompany you through this incredible Inca masterpiece. During approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes, you will explore the main sectors of the citadel while learning about its history, architecture, religious significance, and the mysteries that surround this iconic UNESCO World Heritage Site.

After completing the guided tour, return by bus to Machu Picchu Pueblo (Aguas Calientes), where you will have free time to enjoy lunch at a local restaurant (not included). Afterwards, continue to the train station to board your scheduled train back to Cusco.

Optional Experiences (Additional Cost)

• Huayna Picchu Mountain : A visit to Huayna Picchu Mountain must be requested at the time of booking, as entrance tickets are limited to a maximum of 400 visitors per day. This hike can be done before or after your guided visit to the Machu Picchu archaeological site. Availability is only during the morning schedule and offers spectacular panoramic views of the Machu Picchu citadel and surrounding mountains.

• Cocalmayo Hot Springs: Available upon request. Please inform us at the time of booking so we can arrange the schedule according to your travel itinerary.

At approximately 6:30 a.m., we will pick you up from your hotel and begin our scenic journey to Palcoyo Rainbow Mountain, located in the spectacular Andes Mountains. The drive takes around 2 hours to Combapata, where you will have the opportunity to stop and purchase snacks before continuing for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach Palcoyo.

Upon arrival, begin a gentle 40-minute hike to the main viewpoint, where you will have free time to rest, enjoy the breathtaking scenery, and capture incredible photographs of the colorful Andean mountains. During the visit, admire the impressive Stone Forest of Palcoyo, a unique geological formation shaped by nature over thousands of years.

Continue the adventure by descending towards the stunning Red Valley, known for its vibrant landscapes and contrasting colors. Afterwards, return to our private transportation to enjoy a delicious lunch.

After lunch, begin the return journey to Cusco, arriving at approximately 6:00 p.m.

• In the afternoon, begin the rewarding hike to the magnificent Humantay Lake (4,200 m / 13,779 ft), one of the most stunning glacial lakes in Peru and a highlight of the Salkantay Trek route.

• Upon reaching Humantay Lake, admire its breathtaking turquoise waters, created by the melting glaciers of Humantay Mountain, and enjoy unforgettable views of this sacred Andean landscape. Take time to relax, capture incredible photographs, and appreciate the natural beauty and tranquillity of this extraordinary destination.

• Return to Soraypampa Camp, and as night falls, continue to your Sky Camp accommodation for a unique overnight experience beneath the stars. Enjoy a delicious dinner surrounded by the peaceful atmosphere of the Andes, while your guide shares fascinating stories about Inca astronomy, Andean traditions, and the ancient connection between the stars and local cultures.

• Return to Soraypampa Camp, and as night falls, continue to your Sky Camp accommodation for a unique overnight experience beneath the stars. • Continue through remarkable high-altitude landscapes, surrounded by glaciers, valleys, and unique Andean scenery, while learning about the traditions, culture, and biodiversity of this extraordinary region.
• Descend to the campsite for lunch before beginning your return journey by transport to Cusco.
